Funding News

DFPaY recently registered with the Charity Commission, Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm proudly looks to its long term future as a local charity.
Working across the 5 parishes of Wembury, Brixton, Yealmpton, Newton & Noss,& Holbeton, in December 2018, the project was voted a winner of the Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving Initiative.
Thank you to all those who voted for us. The £500 award will help pay for updating our leaflets, explaining our work how we make a difference and our new charity status.
The charity is registered with the Seamoor Lotto(www.seamoorlotto.co.uk) you will be helping people with dementia and their families locally- and could win prizes too. All money raised for our charity funds the post of the project worker, who visits families and helps to keep them involved and valued in their communities.
All other activities, like training, awareness raising and groups that we run, are paid for by grant applications to national and local funds.
Direct giving to the work of the project can be made through our website.
Kitley House Hotel and Yealmpton Parish Council generously make meeting rooms available without charge.
We would like to thank everyone who supports and has supported the project in different ways- your support is very important to us.
