Thank you National Lottery Community Fund

Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm is celebrating after receiving £7,500 of National Lottery funding to support local people living with dementia and their families, enabling them to remain active and involved in community.
We will use the money to support the regular activities, that are open to all people living in our communities, such as the exercise, reading, walking and singing groups, the details of which are here on our website.
The new funding comes from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK.  This generous amount will support the continuation of these popular groups across the five parishes of Wembury, Brixton, Yealmpton, Newton & Noss and Holbeton. Our groups also combat loneliness and isolation and help make us one of the most dementia friendly places in the country.
Thank you
