A big thank you to Maxine

TV journalist and presenter Angel Rippon also helped mark the retirement of Coordinator Maxine Kennedy who has been involved with the charity since the start and has been key to the success of the project.  During her time Maxine has made a significant difference to the lives of many people living with dementia and their families reducing the isolation and stigma that often accompanies a diagnosis of dementia. She has helped local businesses and organisations become dementia friendly, so that people can remain active and involved with their communities as long as possible. Maxine reflected on how important it is for carers to be supported by the community on their journey looking after a loved one living with dementia.
