The Art and Craft Group have been busy bees helping make a swarm of pine cone bees as part of South Devon AONB’s Life on the Edge project. Life on the Edge works with local communities, landowners and farmers to restore coastal species rich grassland as habitat for rare and endangered insects across South Devon. Nicky Bailey, South Devon ANOB Community Projects Officer, said the finished work will be collected in mid-May and then displayed as part of the Life on the Edge AONBees trail in June and July.

Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm Art and Craft Group meets on the first and third Monday of each month at the Yealmpton Community Centre in Stray Park.  People can bring their own hobby or can learn something new.  The main aim is to share some quality time together creating and talking at the same time. There is a charge of £3.00 towards refreshments and materials.
