A very enjoyable and happy evening was spent in the company of the Plymouth Music Activities Club at Yealmpton Community Centre on Saturday 14th December. The concert of Christmas songs and readings was given by accomplished and talented young people aged between 9-19. Supported by enthusiastic adults this happy, smiling group of young people gave a warm-hearted start to the Christmas season. Over 70 people attended and joined in with the entertainment. We heard many familiar and traditional songs and carols and less well known contributions including the amusing and thought provoking song-’Grandma got run over by a Reindeer’.
A total of £362-00 was raised by Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm of which £120 has been donated to PMAC to support their inspirational work with young people.
A big thank you to everyone who came and supported us on the night and joined in the fun from the Dementia Friendly Parishes around the Yealm Committee.
